As a part of the North London Literary Festival 2021, I gave an interview about the struggles of getting published. I talked about the thrill of getting onto the Penguin WriteNow scheme, and then the dejection of them not taking on my completed novel. There are so many highs and lows with writing. It’s such a fantastically mercurial pursuit! Anyway, if you’d like to read about the romance, adventure, wonder and horror of it (picking up a few tips and tricks along the way), you can read about it here!

You can also see an interview that I did concerning folklore here. I was inspired by Slavic folklore when I wrote the short story ‘Rusalka’ for The Book of Orm, and ‘The House in Brooklyn’ short story (featuring Baba Yaga) for The Book of Witches, you see.
